A hospital stay can be stressful when you are ill and in unfamiliar surroundings. A visit from family and friends can help brighten your day and contribute to a speedy recovery. Because rest is also an important component of the recovery process, visiting hours vary throughout the hospital.

Visiting Hours

Medical-Surgical

Open visitation with only two visitors in a room at any given time. No one under 12 years of age may visit without permission of the charge nurse.

Special Care Unit

Open visitation with only two visitors in a room at any given time. No one under 12 years of age may visit without permission of the charge nurse.

Operating Room/Recovery Room

No visitors allowed.

Emergency Room

Family and visitors are to remain in the waiting room unless given permission by the ER staff.

*Overnight stays of family members will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Gift Shop

From tokens that warm the heart and encourage the soul to helpful personal items that ease one’s stay, the Gift Shop is stocked with cheer. Managed and staffed by the volunteers of the Auxiliary, the gift shop is open from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

As we are constantly changing and updating merchandise, stop in to see what’s new. All visitors and suggestions are welcome!

 

Cafeteria

For the convenience of staff and visitors, the Cafeteria is open from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 – 6 p.m. every day.

Complete meals are available for as little as $4.00, and individual items (sandwiches, fruit, etc.) can also be purchased from vending machines.

 

Smoking

Community Memorial is a Smoke Free Facility.

Community Memorial Hospital and all of its programs and activities are accessible to and usable by disabled persons, including persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, or blind, or who have other sensory impairments.
