Laboratory Services

Community Memorial's laboratory provides chemistry services, hematology, urinalysis, blood testing and transfusion services. In addition, through an arrangement with Crouse Health, the lab provides pathology coverage.

As the number of emergency room visits, out-patient services and surgical cases has increased at Community Memorial, it became obvious that many of the ancillary departments, such as the pharmacy, laboratory and radiology, were too small to support the increased volume. In response, a support services building was constructed to house services that are not related to patient care, such as administration, medical records, and the business office, making space available within the hospital for expansion of the ancillary departments.
