04/27/07, Family Health Center Open House

The public is invited to an Open House at the new Hamilton Family Health Center Tuesday May 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. The 5,700 square foot facility is located just south of Community Memorial Hospital.

"The opening of this handsome building is an important component in ensuring that quality healthcare is close to home," said Hospital President and CEO David W. Felton in issuing the invitation. "Community Memorial is dedicated to providing primary care and attracting top quality physicians and healthcare practitioners to our communities."

Community Memorial Hospital maintains five Family Health Centers along the Rt. 20 corridor, in Cazenovia, Hamilton, Morrisville, Munnsville and Waterville. The centers offer a full range of services including obstetrics, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric care.

At the Open House the public may tour the facility and meet with Dr. Ken Werner, Nurse Practitioner Anne Bennett and the staff. Refreshments will be served.

The event is one of several activities at Community Memorial as part of National Hospital Week. The hospital will recognize employees who have served for one, five, ten, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years. Community Memorial will also name this year's Nurse of Distinction and Outstanding Employee award recipients. In addition to a full week of treats provided by the Dietary Department, the hospital is sponsoring a Scrub Top competition with prizes for the most original, the funniest and most fashionable top. All employees will have the opportunity to post favorite photos as the hospital comes together to create a unique family portrait.

"Community Memorial, at the hospital and in all our Family Health Centers, has great employees who are dedicated to providing patients with outstanding care and Hospital Week is a fitting time to say thank you and have some fun together," said Felton.
