Kinney Drugs Foundation Supports Community Memorial Hospital
May 26, 2011
Community Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that the Kinney Drugs Foundation has made a gift, in the amount of $15,000, towards the purchase of a new Endoscopic Video System. An EVS consists of a video monitor, camera box, light source, printer and a shaver box (used for arthroscopic procedures), and is used throughout the CMH operating rooms.

The CMH goal is to replace the three EVS systems currently in use at a cost of $225,000. This will assure that the patients in our region will continue to have state-of-the-art surgical services and equipment.
The Kinney Drug Foundation began in June of 2002. It is the philanthropic arm of Kinney Drugs, a leading community pharmacy and retail business in New York and Vermont. Its mission is to help people live healthier lives within the communities that are served by Kinney Drugs. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated over $5 million to charities.
The gift from the Kinney Drug Foundation will be included in the current capital campaign at CMH: Caring for Your Future. The campaign, which will conclude in December of 2011, has raised over $1.3 million in support of capital needs, endowment and education.
